Applicants who are not native speakers of English must provide proof of English language proficiency for academic purposes. Unless this requirement is waved, applicants need to provide a language certificate such as TOEFL, University of Cambridge CPE, IELTS. In addition applicants may choose to be assessed through the ELS-EGS English Examination (click here for more info and dates).
Waiver: the English language requirement may be waived in case the applicant is a national of the United Kingdom or a majority-English speaking country* and his/her first language is English or has attended a medium English secondary school for at least three years continuously. The requirement may also be waived in case the applicant has acquired a degree taught in a majority English speaking country*.
If you wish to apply for a waiver to the English language requirement, please submit the request as part of your application. The request should be in the form of a letter stating the reasons why you believe you should be exempted from providing an English language certificate. Please submit the letter along with your application.
