ELGS MA Students Celebrate the End of an Inspiring Academic Year in Cascais
June 23, 2025 – Cascais, Portugal – Students, professors, and staff of the European Public Law Organization (EPLO) gathered to celebrate the successful completion of the first academic year of the Master’s Program in Global Rule of Law and Democracy, offered by the European Law and Governance School (ELGS).
In a heartfelt farewell address, the Class of 2024–2025 expressed their deep appreciation for the expertise, mentorship, and unwavering support of the ELGS faculty and visiting professors. The students reflected on how the program challenged them to think critically and sparked a deeper interest in the pressing global issues related to democracy and the rule of law.
Beyond the classroom, students highlighted the strong sense of community and lasting friendships they built over the past year. They also expressed gratitude for the warm, supportive environment provided through student housing made possible by the Municipality of Cascais.
As the program moves into its third and final semester, students will focus on completing their master’s theses and participating in professional internships.
