  • Date 4 April, 2025

On Thursday, April 3, 2025, the European Law and Governance School (ELGS) held its annual graduation ceremony at the premises of the European Public Law Organization (EPLO) in Athens. The event marked a significant academic and professional milestone for students from both undergraduate and postgraduate programs.

The ceremony was attended by all ELGS faculty members and administrators, who celebrated the accomplishments of the graduating class with pride and heartfelt joy.

The EPLO, as the parent institution of ELGS, also extended its warm congratulations and gratitude to the ELGS academic team and students, recognizing their unwavering dedication to academic excellence.

Distinguished speakers at the event included the Dean of ELGS, Professor Luis María Díez-Picasso; the ELGS Provost for Undergraduate Studies, H.E. Ms. Joana Gomes Rosa Amado, Minister of Justice of Cape Verde; Professor Anastasios Gourgourinis, Director of the Academy of International Economic Law and Policy (AIELPO); Ambassador Ioseb Nanobashvili, Director of the EPLO Regional Branch for the South Caucasus, Georgia; Ms. Panoraia Spiliopoulou, EPLO Director-General for Education; and Ms. Sandra Manioudaki, Director of the Office of Marketing Communications.

Graduates Milica Jevtic (Bachelor of Laws) and Sarra Ajroud (Master of Arts in Governance) delivered moving speeches, sharing their transformative journeys at ELGS.

Degrees were formally conferred by the Dean of ELGS and the EPLO Director-General for Education in a moment marked by celebration, pride, and optimism for the future.

In addition to the ELGS ceremonies, the occasion was enriched by the presence of graduates from the EPLO Academy of International Economic Law and Policy (AIELPO), further highlighting the interdisciplinary academic environment fostered within the EPLO framework. Two AIELPO students were present to celebrate their successful completion of the program. For more information on the Academy, visit: https://aielpo.eplo.int/

We extend our heartfelt thanks to all who contributed to this inspiring and emotional occasion and congratulate the graduates on their achievements. The ELGS continues to foster excellence in legal and governance education, preparing its students to be the leaders and changemakers of tomorrow.
